Lala is an entrepreneur, real estate professional, and  contracts management specialist. As a dedicated community leader, Lala is committed to helping her clients navigate real estate transactions. Alongside her real estate career, she serves as President and Board Member of Azerbaijani Women of America. Lala is passionate about supporting women’s empowerment initiatives and charitable outreach programs as well as preserving Azerbaijani traditions, and culture, within the United States. 

Lala holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting.

Born in Azerbaijan, Zahra Chakhtakhtinski immigrated to the U.S. at 19, an experience that shaped her resilience and commitment to community, and led her to empower women through mentorship and service with the Azerbaijani Women’s Association, where she volunteers and serves on the board.

Professionally, Zahra is a finance leader in the Greater Washington area, having advanced from an entry-level role to Market Director with nearly two decades of experience across Fortune 500 companies.

Gunel has served as a Board Member of Azerbaijani Women in America (AWA) for 10 years. Despite living in the United States for two decades, she has never lost her strong connection to the Azerbaijani community. She is especially passionate about empowering and supporting Azerbaijani women and is honored to serve the community through AWA. Gunel has extensive experience in Communication, Banking and Legal Industries.
